It's a bit of a shock to get a room card that reads 115-26 (room 26 on the 115th floor), but what do you expect from the highest hotel in the world, which also boasts the world's highest spa, pool, and bar (named, appropriately enough, OZONE)? It takes 52 seconds to reach the understated black-marbled reception on the 103rd floor, from which a lighted escalator beckons to restaurants one floor down, all with stunning views and eye-catching East-meets-West decor (my favorite is Tosca, serving southern Italian cuisine). Rooms, occupying floors 106 to 117, are about as luxurious as they come, but it's the views that set them apart. The best vistas are toward Hong Kong Island, where guests find themselves about eye-level with Peak Tower on Victoria Peak. When the weather is clear, views of the harbor are mesmerizing; if there are clouds, guests might find themselves above them, with nothing but The Peak and a skycraper or two for company. Although the hotel is a bit isolated from the rest of Kowloon, it's connected to Elements shopping center and to Central and the airport via MTR. In any case, staying here will gives anyone bragging rights, and deservedly so.
