The giant pink and blue snails in the lobby might not be to everyone’s liking, but most will appreciate the otherwise low-key feel of these hip accommodations. Very sleek, the rooms feature lots of varnished wood, padded headboards, and bathrooms with glass walls (with curtains for the shy). Some rooms on the sixth floor feature private terraces. There are three handicap-accessible rooms on the ground floor. The curious works of art in the lobby are a legacy of the hotel’s periodic art exhibits; there is a loungelike bar area with a fireplace as well as an open-air terrace where you can breakfast in nice weather.
