The rooms are larger than average and the indoor pool is superb, complete with a waterfall and a mural of a cloud-speckled sky.
  • Siesta Motel (Durango; tel. 877/314-0741 or 970/247-0741): A vintage 1950s-era roadside motel owned and operated by the same family since 1975, the Siesta Motel is the best value in Durango, featuring clean, well-kept motel rooms with a king bed or two queens or doubles and a hot tub in the courtyard gazebo.
