After Cabo Fisterra, some of the most dramatic coastal scenery in Spain flanks coastal N-550, following the edge of one of the most tortuous shorelines in Europe. Four estuaries, collectively called the Rías Bajas, face the Atlantic from Cape Silleiro to Baiona to Point Louro in Muros. Two of these are in the province of Pontevedra (Ría de Pontevedra and Ría de Vigo); one is in the province of A Coruña (Ría de Muros y Noya); and one (Ría de Arousa) divides its shores between the two provinces. The 32km (20-mile) Vigo estuary is the longest, stretching from Ponte Sampasio to Baiona.
